The breed was created in the 19th century by the British workers like dogs to live together and to exterminate the rats. Today York is a very good partner and one of the most popular pet dogs.

It is one of the smallest dogs in the world, beautiful, smart and independent. They are cautious with strangers, it makes for very young children and not much like the company is looking caress.
Easily trained, eats little and is generally quiet dog.
